By practicing a holistic approach to nutriition, we look at the “whole” person to see what is actually going on in your life.  The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has their own nutritional needs.  So, instead of relying on what the media tells you is healthy for you, we teach you how to rely on your own body.  We look at your age, health, blood type, level of activity and personal preferences.

Food Changes Everything

We will discuss the importance of Primary Foods in your life.  These are healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual practice.  When these become balanced, what you eat becomes secondary.  This is what we mean by a “holistic approach.”

Food is the life force that feeds the body and the mind.  It’s amazing to see the positive effects that wholesome foods have on your well being.

Integrative Nutrition Pyramid

We will introduce you to the Integrative Nutrition Pyramid which is a balanced approach to nutrition: more high-quality, organic vegetables, fruits, complex carbohydrates, protein and water; less meat, milk and refined sugar as well as artificial food.  The pyramid is surrounded with the primary food circle, the parts of life that help create a balance that is satisfying and rewarding.

Your Program

Your personalized program will radically improve your health and happiness.  Together, we will explore concerns specific to you and your body and discover the tools you need for a lifetime of balance.  During the program you will:

  • Set and accomplish goals
  • Explore new foods
  • Understand and reduce cravings
  • Increase energy
  • Feel better in your body
  • Improve personal relationships

  • Two, one-hour sessions per month for 6 months

What is PRANASSAGE?

Pranassage® is a creative synthesis of yoga and bodywork that produces deep relaxation in the receiver. Pranassage is an engaging and efficient option for those who want to deepen the effects of yoga or simply open up the body. Shayna offers individualized sessions that are tailored to each client’s fitness needs. Pranassage appeals to people with no previous yoga experience, as well as the seasoned practitioner of yoga or other active forms of body-mind integration, because it provides tailored personal support for going to your next level.

The benefits of Pranassage are, first and foremost, a very deep sense of grounding and relaxation. This practice is beneficial for our skeletal structure and helps prevent osteoporosis. It balances blood pressure, shifts the student out of place of stress, and slows the heart rate to its natural rhythm. The session leaves one feeling “stretched out”. Some people report feeling more confident and secure, deeply rested, rejuvenated, and calm.
